This project was a collaboration with an architect and urban planner. This 40-something couple wanted to be able to use their driveway as outdoor living space, so I helped them with a trellis design that fit and maximized use of the smaller space, and I recommended storm water features and other elements.

The result was a festive, usable patio that party guests got to walk through to the back yard, a pretty re-purposed concrete surface that was easy on bare feet, multiple seating areas, an interesting rain barrel overflow that helped out the neighbors, and a thriving Evergreen Clematis vine that offered dappled shade in the heat of Summer.
