Who was this for?

A retired widow

This woman had to walk through mud to get around her property.  She didn't have the energy to fix up her front yard, but she wanted to grow her own food.  The property had been taken over by invasive exotic plants.  She also wanted some lawn area she might relax in on nice days.

What did we do about it?

We started with a low-maintenance front garden

The results of her Permaculture Master Plan included a front yard with curb appeal and a low-maintenance ecological lawn, permeable paver paths that kept her feet dry, a shady patio in back, a potting station, and lower cost materials that still looked great with all the new edible plants.
