This early project was a hybrid between a Permaculture Master Plan and a DIY Permaculture Design Package. This 30-something professional wanted to upgrade his home in stages to prepare for finding a wife. He needed a planting strip path, but he wanted low-maintenance landscaping that might demonstrate to his neighbors a more ecological style while still looking beautiful.
The results were a lovely permeable paver path with soft steppable plantings and a stunning low-water garden on either side.
